The Women’s Acupuncture Center specializes in enhancing fertility in women and men. Your fertility journey may have just started or you may be seeking options after undergoing preliminary testing. You may have already undergone or will be undergoing procedures or treatments. No matter where you are in your fertility journey, we are here to provide natural, non-invasive, drug-free nourishment to balance your body’s reproductive system so it can do what comes naturally, conceive.

Ideally patients begin acupuncture treatment three months before they undergo any assisted reproductive treatments. The emphasis of fertility treatment is unique to each woman. For some patients hormonal balance needs support. For others the energy and blood flow to the reproductive organs has been blocked and needs to be restored. Often it is a combination of both.
If you are currently undergoing IUI or IVF procedures, acupuncture, according to several recent studies, will significantly increase success. Combining the technology of assisted reproductive procedures with the deep internal nourishment and balance of acupuncture is a wise choice.
The delicate complexity of a woman’s body responds to acupuncture treatment which does not try to “force” conception and implantation but rather restores the energy, balance and blood flow that are necessary for optimal reproductive function. The technology exists to allow conception to take place outside of the body, however, each woman must be capable of receiving, holding and nourishing an embryo through development. It is not possible to force pregnancy or healthy delivery when the body does not have the internal resources necessary.
Using acupuncture along with IUI and IVF technology optimizes the opportunity for a successful healthy pregnancy and delivery. Patients are seen throughout their pregnancies and it is a pleasure when treatment shifts from being “infertility” focused to providing relief from very welcome “morning sickness!”
